Who We Are
Western Mold Engineering brings approximately 50 years of permanent mold experience to aluminum casting programs. We engineer and manufacture tooling, collaborate with partner foundries, and CNC machine castings into finished components. We do not operate a foundry. For OEMs and foundries alike, our team connects tooling knowledge with practical manufacturing support—from a new component concept to recurring production.
We believe in staying hands-on and accountable. Our values—honesty, consistency, motivation, resolution, confidence, and purposeful faith—are woven into how we operate. We're not just a supplier. We're your partner in smarter manufacturing.

Tooling Through Finished Components
Practical engineering and manufacturing support for OEMs and foundries:
Permanent mold engineering and manufacturing
Investment casting tooling and reverse engineering
Mold repair, modification, and initial pour support
Production CNC machining and fixture design
Tooling-focused foundry consulting
Casting is performed by partner foundries. We connect tooling expertise and machining support around your component requirements.

Production CNC Machining
Recurring production machining for medium-sized, moderately complex aluminum castings. We support mid- to high-volume programs with in-house machining fixture design and a practical understanding of casting variation. Bring us an existing casting or involve our team early to connect tooling, partner-foundry production, and finished-component machining.
Proprietary Foundry Hardware
Our proprietary foundry hardware includes static two-part mold bases, rail inserts, cantilever handles, rack-and-pinion mold-opening mechanisms, and optional bottom-pull core bridges. Contact us to discuss configurations for your permanent mold tooling.
